The funny thing is most people are forgetting though is Duck Commander is 40 years in. They are Multi-millionares who use their money for good. They will be fine no matter if the show is on or not. But They will find another channel who will take them on, cause it's still going to be a hit show. Duck Commander is different from Duck Dynasty. Duck Dynasty is the A&E Brand. Duck Commander is the Robertson brand. |

I think people in the public eye need to be mindful of bashing people. Yes, they might have an opinion but they should be ready for a horrible reaction if they are not kind and to a large degree .. politically correct. |

Date: 12/21/2013 6:37:00 AM From Authorid: 8961 Phil did not compare homosexuals to anamals. He was listing acts he considered sinful. Beastiality (sexual acts with animals) was in the list along with homosexuals. |

I like Duck Dynasty, its a great family show and I will always like it even if I don’t agree with their beliefs. I hate how people are treating Phil because he voiced his opinion, its called freedom of speech. It shouldn't matter if he is rich or a celebrity, no one should be treated poorly because of their beliefs. Its not like he committed a crime and it seems like people are treating him like he did. |

I agree with DeLion and Haven. “In an interview with Drew Magary of GQ magazine , Phil Robertson was asked "What, in your mind, is sinful?" Robertson didn’t hold back when sharing his thoughts about homosexuality and sinning. He has the right to his opinion no matter who he is and he has a right just as much as you or I have a right to our opinion. You stated.."the family defending Phil and using gods name and the bible ( which I do not agree with at all). You have the right to disagree but I see no problem with them using God's name and the Bible. I signed the petition to get Mr Robertson back on the show, but in reality, I do hope that he drops them, but there might be a problem because A&E & the Robertson's have a contract. As for Mr Robertson 'bashing' homosexuals. I watched that video and Mr Robertson quoted the Bible verses. Why would that be considered to be 'bashing' someone? Mr Robertson was a preacher before he was a TV star. A&E was very aware of that before they ask him to be on their network. |

Quite honestly, I feel that he was baited, and was given a loaded question. Everyone already knew his opinion, everyone already knew his stance, why is it bad him just confirming what everyone already knew. I don't really care for the show. I'll watch it, but I'd pass it up if there was anything better. I just don't like how they railroaded him. |
Date: 12/24/2013 10:20:00 AM From Authorid: 18155 It has gone from a comedy to a tragedy to something I can't say on here but if it were up to me, well folks, we'd be watching more of Ghost Hunters but that is my interest and makes just about as much sense. |

Date: 12/26/2013 7:48:00 AM From Authorid: 54444 It is interesting to see how this flows. I really don't think it should have ever made an issue because as has already been stated EVERYONE has a right to their belief and the right to state it publically whether or not it fits the norm. A basic American tenent Right? In actuality The network needs the show more than the family needs the network. If they are dropped there will be lots of networks that would be glad to pick up the show, which has one of the highest viewer ratings ever. I am not a fan of political correctness and I believe it breeds hypocracy and and creates an unjust balance by intimada tion and bullying (people are coerced by the thought police to avoid sharing their true personal views). I don't feel I need to share anothers belief in order to be entertained by or even taught by them or to call therm friend. Frankly I would love to know Phil Robertson as a personal friend and I consider him a great, caring and generous individual. He is an asset to society and his show is humor at its best...unless someone just doesn't care for or "get" this type of wit. Anyway he'll do well however this worm turns. |

well IMO I think he has the right to his opinion and he has the right to voice it. it doesn't matter if I agree or not. what ticks me off is it seems to be perfectly ok for gay people to say whatever they want and nobody can say a word about it. but let a straight person say something against gays and then it's on. personally I like duck dynasty. it's a clean show that I don't mind my 4 year old granddaughter watching. she loves uncle si and has her own little DD collection including a brand new duck call!! so what if he doesn't like gays? who cares? I don't. it's him not me. I think some people are just too dang touchy about things. |
