My father had a minor stroke back in July. I say minor because although his right side was paralyzed as a result, he's been making remarkable progress. He's already at the point where he no longer needs physical therapy for his hand and he's needing his wheelchair less and less.

Ever since he had his stroke, I've had dreams of him a lot, and in my dreams, he's all better and usually, he's driving. I feel the driving is particularly significant, but I'm not sure why. In my subconscious, I think to myself that it's amazing how he's totally recovered until I wake up and realize it's just a dream. I hate having them because of the disappointment of waking up and remembering he still can't do everything he could before.

What could these dreams mean?

It means that you recognize that his recovery is something that will take much of his time, but that he has the strength to get to his destination--full recovery, of course.
