Happy Thanksgiving. I started cooking last night. I took the turkey out of the brine, rinsed, slathered it with olive oil and herbs, then cooked it for about 3 hours. It turned out really good. I stayed up too late, as usual. And I was able to sleep in today since the kids are out of school and I'm off from work. As soon as I got up, I started cooking the rest of the meal. I made 3 pumpkin pies. One didnt make it off the cooling rack before it was all eaten.  I also made a really good sweet potato casserole covered in mini marshmallows, stuffing, crescent rolls, cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and deviled eggs. The kids and I have enjoyed nibbling and munching through out the day and just being lazy. I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving!  |
