Hey everyone, long time no see. How has it been going?
I'm almost done with my first semester of school. Pretty easy class, study skills. As of right now, my average is 97.05, how awesome is that???
Going to transfer to a closer school this upcoming semester. I have some classes I need to take, before I'm allowed to take another required class. If they have it as a class this semester, the school I am transferring to doesn't require any other classes to be took to get a nail tech certification. I am so hoping they offer it next semester. If not, then I just take my required courses, and transfer back to the school I am already. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
So, on those lines I'm dreaming sorta big, in a small time way. I'd like to open my own nail salon one day. Just a small one. Like, buying one of those buildings/sheds you can get a Lowe's, insulate it, run some plumbing and electricity to it, viola', instant nail salon. I doubt it would be that easy, but while I'm dreaming......
I wouldn't be bound to a salon's hours working in someone else's, I could work odd hours, and having a salon right in my own front yard, I could be available at any time. Many people have to wait til the weekend, cause most salons don't stay open long after 5pm. I could have an edge on that. I think I could do well, when I'm at, you have to drive a 20mi round trip just to get your nails done. I'd be the only one in the area that could offer nail services.
What would be a good name for a nail salon? I would be doing Mani/pedi work. Like I said, just dreaming/brainstorming, come and indulge with me.
