Piece of advice from someone who has been dealing with "things" that now a days are called "paranormal",while back in the 50s, we kids just called them "ghosts". How accurate we were is to be debated but every town in the South, that I knew of back then, had 1 old house, that the locals considered "haunted" and NO ONE went into them and especially no one went into the cemetery after the sun went down, if you were smart or "insane", the community would be the judge of such behavior. Even back then, I was thought of as "just a little "odd', not because I made all As in school but was doing things that today would qualify me to be on GHs or any other "paranormal" tv show. I was interested in "old abandoned buildings, houses, cemeteries,", fortune tellers, "quacks though they might be", and being an "artist, I painted what I "saw", felt", "heard", lot of it imagination, some, however, were based on "reality". Supposedly, I got it from my father's side of the family, pure Scottish, and it skipped every other generation. No one told me what it" was but I "felt" different at times, like "All Hallows Eve", "Mid Summers-Eve Day", all of the ancient "fire celebrations", so I took the chance, I went off to a large university, thanks to an older friend driving, and had the time,a chance to really look things up. I recall that what I read, made the long drive back home, quite uncomfortable and I can still recall it as if it was yesterday.FYI, I have a habit of being totally honest on here, as I have no one to impress and share with others what I hope they might enjoy reading/hearing from me. I make no excuses, if what one chooses to believe it is theirs and theirs alone to decide if what I pass on is reality or my interpretation of it. |
