His ruling was based on a Muslim hadith, a saying by the prophet Muhammad. As we all know, Muhammad starred in his very own sitcom, Everyone Loves Muhammad. His television wife was played by his real life wife, nine year old Aisha. So of course he didn't violate his own hadith.
