I've been kicking this around for a while and finally decided to post my thoughts.
We all know the Hillsboro Baptist church are radical hatemongers. From protests at Gay funerals to soldiers funerals and anything in between, they're offensive to everyone. And I mean everyone. Whether you're rightwing, leftwing, republican or democrat, I've never seen or heard anyone say, "but they have some good idea's". They're universally reviled, ridiculed and mocked. It doesn't matter where they show up, they're always out numbered by people countering them, especially bikers. I saw one video where I do believe the entire town turned out to block them. When the five or six Hillsboro protestors slunk back to their car, they found all four tires flattened. Mind you this group has never killed anyone, they probably number about one hundred in membership. I just read where many of the children are leaving the church as they grow into adult hood. They are shunned and have formed a family of their own. I'm proud at how 99.9 percent of us come together against such a radical element.
Lets switch to radical Islam. We're suppose to pretend radical Islam doesn't exist, or that it is a very small minority of muslims. But is it?? Where are the counter protestors? Where are they in the Philippines, Africa, Pakistan, Africa or Egypt, all the places where this supposed very tiny element is killing christians on a constant basis?
There is a talk show host that always said that mans natural incliniation is a yearning to be free and I use to firmly believe that. With the Arab spring I now firmly believe that everyone but Muslims yearn to be free. All those except the few that come to the United States. Islam does not allow for individual liberty or self determination. I've read before that Islam is not moderate, but there are moderate muslims. Contrary to popular belief, we don't have a huge Islamic population, but I'd say most of them who move here are the exception to the rule. Most are like typical Americans, they want to be left alone to worship and make as much money as they can or want and live as they want. Something not associated with Islam as a whole.
With the exception of Iraq, whenever they have a chance at voting, they vote in something ten times worse, a radical form of religious extremist, by landslide victories. I don't think they've even bothered to vote yet in Lybia, have they? I doubt it matters. It seems only dictators can control the worst urges of an islamic state and protect the minority population. The need to kill jews, Christians and more moderate, rival Islamic factions, (moderation being a matter of degree, really) seems to overtake everything else.
Thank God most muslims were to sensible to join the Million Muslim march. The one slated for 911 and at first was suppose to protest the unfairness of how muslims are portrayed around the world. Oh, and sometimes people look at them funny. One could almost chuckle after the headlines of the past weekend, if it wasn't so grisly and maddening all at the same time.
I'll leave you with this. On twitter, Islamic activists were outraged at reports coming out of Kenya that the terrorists allowed muslims to leave while lining up men, woman and children who didn't know Mohammads mothers name, and put a bullet in their heads. They said this was a lie and that it couldn't possibly have taken place.
They were outraged at the reports of the weeding out. Not at the murders. But at the direct, eye witness reports. They could have condemned what took place, but they chose not to. Instead they chose to deny.
I'm not expecting protests any time soon. I do expect the denial to continue. Nothing will change until this problem is faced head on and we quit coddling these people. They don't deserve it.
