Hello, Jeff. As coincidence would have it, I happened on the writings of a L.C. Thomas since your previous post, and wonder if you have ever read any of his musings? As far as Nimrod goes, the narrative that he kept the "fallen angel" blood-line going here on earth beyond the flood which sent Noah's Ark asailing is something I have read from various sources including here at USM, and to which I can relate. That false worshipping and idolatry was begat from such a being is, therefore, understandable. My personal thoughts on the subject is that Nimrod being who he was, was somehow privy to the knowledge that Jeaus would be on the earth at some point, and used such knowledge to mangle same with his own vanities to produce a story that keeps getting recycled to various worship systems. I don't feel that prophecy of Jesus coming into the world, though mismanaged, denigrates the "being" of Jesus. That mismanagement, afterall, is due to man, not Our Father. God Bless. ![]() |

Thanks for your comments Deb, I have never heard of LC Thomas, and I am not aware of other writings here on USM concerning Nimrod, but I am not writing speculation, or how I feel about it, only what is in scriptures and facts declared by historians, and of course babylonian legends which probably are not fact, but, indeed it is what they truly believed and lived by, back then. There is another book, not part of the Bible, but is mentioned by name in Joshua 10.13 and 2Samuel 1.18, the book of Jasher, says that Nimrod served Satan, who gave him this knowledge and helped him to be the 1st founder of the old-world order, the system that the new-world order is trying to imitate. Ecclesiastes 1.9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. |

Date: 9/8/2013 6:05:00 PM From Authorid: 66824 this nimrod guy was born on dec 25th as the son of baal, a sun god and on his anniversary he would visit an evergreen tree with gifts which was likely the earliest origin of the christmas tree. the catholics adopted this pagan custom for their christianity cause that's what romans did back then. now most who follow jesus knows for a fact he was not born on dec 25th nor did he want his birth to be idolized in such matters and that celebrating birthday is a self serving pagan custom which i want no part of. saint nimrod in a red suit can go to hell. sorry if i offended anyone and if i am wrong, my sincere apologies. |

Everything here, I feel is very accurate. Very well presented. It does not however change any of my belief in the Trinity aspect of my faith, evil exists, so does good. ![]() |

Jeff, I don't believe that your statement that "Nimrod served Satan" and my sentiments that he is progeny of fallen angels, are inconsistent theories. ![]() God Bless. ![]() |

Hi Deb, I'm sorry for rushing through my previous comments, however, I only paraphrased my own thoughts concerning nimrod serving satan. Jasher 9.20 And king Nimrod reigned securely, and all the earth was under his control, and all the earth was of one tongue and words of union. 21 And all the princes of Nimrod and his great men took counsel together; Phut, Mitzraim, Cush and Canaan with their families, and they said to each other, Come let us build ourselves a city and in it a strong tower, and its top reaching heaven, and we will make ourselves famed, so that we may reign upon the whole world, in order that the evil of our enemies may cease from us, that we may reign mightily over them, and that we may not become scattered over the earth on account of their wars. 22 And they all went before the king, and they told the king these words, and the king agreed with them in this affair, and he did so. 23 And all the families assembled consisting of about six hundred thousand men, and they went to seek an extensive piece of ground to build the city and the tower, and they sought in the whole earth and they found none like one valley at the east of the land of Shinar, about two days' walk, and they journeyed there and they dwelt there. 24 And they began to make bricks and burn fires to build the city and the tower that they had imagined to complete. 25 And the building of the tower was unto them a transgression and a sin, and they began to build it, and whilst they were building against the Lord God of heaven, they imagined in their hearts to war against him and to ascend into heaven. 26 And all these people and all the families divided themselves in three parts; the first said We will ascend into heaven and fight against him; the second said, We will ascend to heaven and place our own gods there and serve them; and the third part said, We will ascend to heaven and smite him with bows and spears; and God knew all their works and all their evil thoughts, and he saw the city and the tower which they were building. Point is, who also said similar things, such as , he will exalt his self above God, and wanted to take the throne of God and be as the Almighty? was it not lucifer, who became satan? satan only had these things in his heart and in his mind and got kicked out of heaven, then nimrod tried to put these thoughts into action. How else would nimrod have had these same thoughts that satan had , unless satan had been consulted with at some point? God bless you, Jeff |

Great Read my brother... And I agree that Nimrod served satan. The Bible teaches that satan is the god of the world. He controls the world leaders today just as he always has. I'll make another crazy statement while I thinking about; There is no "Gray Area" or "Middle of the Road". People ether serve God or serve satan. God Bless you. ![]() |
