I know that there is a sleep disorder such as you're describing. I've had dreams like that occasionally, but the praying part you describe disturbs me. I don't have an answer, hopefully it's all part of a sleep cycle that you're in and once it changes, the dreams will go away. |

I have had alot of similar dreams like yours but was never possessed more like attacked, usually in the dream I was able to banish the demon....I always saw it as a test and every time my guardian was with me. Something that usually helps is cleanse your house of any evil or negitive energy....or at least your bedroom, also put some salt on top of your door and windows in your bedroom....to keep any evil away that could be bothering you. Your prayer that you do is kind of like banishing it....but it seems to keep coming back. Also you can wear a cross or pentagram to bed, depending on your religion, I find that usually helps make me feel safer, might work for you too |

Could it be sleep paralysis? I usually get dreams like that when I'm Stressed out! |

I'm not sure it could be sleep paralysis, just because it's not like I CAN'T move, it's more like I'm trying to stop my body from moving but some outside force is making me move, almost like I'm a puppet. Scary dream, and I hope that's all it is. Thanks for the replies, everyone. |

I'm sorry because you're probably not going to particularly want to hear this, and I have to disclaim that this is simply just my opinion but... I am a Christian and based off of what I know, my opinion is that these dreams may actually BE coming from demons (and yes I believe they are real and do exist). It's what is termed "spiritual attacks". The reason I have this opinion is because of how when you pray in your dream, they leave you alone. Well, here's my advice: take it one step further, and do this: In real life, each night before you go to sleep (IF you are comfortable doing this), say out loud "I command all spiritual attacks and evil to stay away from me all night long as I sleep, in Jesus mighty name!" Even if you don't believe in Jesus. There's power in his name that the spiritual dimension must yield to. Try that, and post on here if it's gotten any better. |

Another "supporter" of my above advice is that I pray the same type of thing for myself every night. And I haven't had a scary dream of any type in quite a few months. Not one.... |

My friend is having this happen. She was told it was sleep paralysis... but then creepy things started to happen around her place. Her and her husband are pretty on edge. I hope it's nothing like that for you. |
