Free Speech on the Internet~Psyguy

I'm sure you all heard about the woman getting death threats on twitter. In England they added woman to their currency, and guys in their 20's think it was "smart" to tweet about raping and killing these woman.

Internet abuse-stalking, impersonation, harassment, is a part of the internet era and the police and government agencies don't know how to tackle the issue.

Commenters say "de-activate" your accounts if your being impersonated or harassed. The commenters are insensitive cause even if you de-activate your account, it doesn't address the "impersonation" issue. Local cops won't do nothing.... Trying to contact the F.B.I you have to do it online, and don't get back to you.

But the most ignorant thing I seen being repeated in the comment sections are: "It's the Government trying to censor us" when they want to regulate comments... "The Government is trying to control our lives"....

I shake my head, cause in reality no one should be allowed to post hateful or spiteful comments online towards other people. And there are many sites who ruin lives cause they allow people to post posts and pictures about people with no legal ramifications.

And trying to get the content removed is harder...Google, youtube, facebook, have no real live person to phone. Your only luck is emailing them constantly to get the content, and profiles banned.

There is one person who has a vendetta against a certain country artist, and they have 100 accounts and talk to themselves, making it look like there are many comments.

Anyways this person likes using my name, and even made an impersonation of me on youtube, and facebook. Saying I am Gay, and all kinds of lies. I went to the cops, hired a P.I, went to the F.B.I and nothing came of it. The only thing I could do was get it removed through youtube and facebook.

Should people be allowed to do this and get away with it?

Every so often and the memorable one where the girl killed herself because a mom and another student made a false profile of a boy and said the boy liked her.

The internet is the new "Wild West" cause there is no regulation and people cry foul when their "comments" are subjected to laws.

I'm sorry but free speech should not include hateful and impersonation....
