Orginally, Iodine was added to fight goiters which is caused by iodine deficiency. I remember my Great Grandmother having a great big goiter. You just don't see those anymore, do you? |

I had to use iodine salt when I had thyroid trouble when I was a kid...used it for years and my overactive thyroid along with some other meds settled right down...we still use it today...  |
