If you know me I love, love country music. I've met some of the biggest names in the 2000's like Phil Vassar, Kenny Chesney, Shedaisy, Lonestar, Vince Gill, Miranda Lambert, etc....
One of my favorite singers, and major influence for my songs in my book is the Legendary Merle Haggard.
I found his music in 2006 when I was visiting my brother in Bowling Green, Ohio when I walked into an old fashion record store, and bought a 3 cd of his hits. I listened to it non-stop while I was up there.
In 2007 my parents, and I got to see Merle and George Jones up in Columbus Ohio at the State Fair. I got pictures of them together on stage.
It's hard to name my favorite song of his cause there are so many "Mama Tried", "Rambling Fever", "The Fighting Side of Me", "My Favorite Memory", "Silver Wings", "Swinging Doors", "Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down", "Sing Me Back Home". I mean there is just so many.
Anyways he was here in town today, and where he's playing at it's easy to get autographs from the singers. His assistant who was about 20-25 came out and said to me, and two other people "He will sign one item a piece, give me the item, and I'll take it to him".
So I gave him a photo I got from the state fair, and a few minutes later he came out with the signed photo.
I waited a little bit longer, and he came out from his bus, and I snapped this photo of him..
I also gave his assistant my book, so he can look at it and keep it.
