Nest In The Wreath! .:WerewolfClairewolf:.

After coming home from college for the summer, my mom shown me a robin recently made her nest in the wreath hanging on the front door. It's so cute because visually, the nest fits perfectly as if it always belonged there. The robin's now laid four little eggs in it. We have some trouble fetching the mail now since the mailbox is right next to the front door, but otherwise, we try not to use that door. Funny enough, this isn't the first time this has happened. One spring, a dove came by and laid an egg directly on the wreath without making a nest.

This was taken when there were only three eggs in the nest.

Date: 5/19/2013 10:53:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 66755    My favorite bird is my parrot Hewie. ;P I've never seen any robins - or any other wild birds in general - willing to come so close to people other than ducks. I've met and befriended a bunch of really nice squirrels, though.

Date: 5/20/2013 2:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 998    How sweet to get to see the robin eggs so close. We know if we have a robin nest close to our home, because the robin's start banging into the windows. I'm not sure if they are trying to scare away, what they think is another bird (but is their own reflection in the glass).

I should post some stories we have had with birds. They certainly are very intelligent, and not 'bird-brained' at all.
