Question about Quinceaneras

My daughter is invited to a quinceanera.  It begins with a mass in the girls honor at their church, a dinner and dance are afterwards at a reception hall across town.  My question is, does my daughter have to attend the mass???  That would mean dropping her off, picking her up and driving her to the reception hall and picking her up when it's all over.

Date: 5/10/2013 12:56:00 PM  From Authorid: 53427    I just love saying the word quinceanera! Have you looked at the gowns they wear? Very bling, bling! We are not Latino at all, but my daughter who is 12 wants a quinceanera at 15. She just loves the dresses and wants to dress up.

Date: 5/10/2013 1:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 66331    It doesn't seem right to skip the mass....maybe there is a way she can ride with someone else to the Reception hall, since I'm guessing everyone that was at the mass will be going there.....shouldn't be a problem to let her ride with someone else that is going to the same place

Date: 5/11/2013 12:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 55582    well it depends if she is in the quinceanera then yes she has to but if she was just invited then she has a choice of going to the mass and the hall afterwords or just going to the hall as being mexican and having a cousin that has had one like i said if she is in the quinceanera then she will have to go to the mass also if she is really good friends with the girl having the party maybe your daughter will want to go to both you can maybe ask her they usually get a limo for the birthday girl and her friends to ride after the mass
Date: 5/11/2013 12:43:00 AM  From Authorid: 55582    my cousin's quinceanera was some what calmer then some of the ones i have seen done on tv on the show quito me quince (i hope i spelled it right) on mtv 3rs but it was really nice i was her escort and had to go to all of the quinceanera the mass and the hall we also had to do a dance as we arrived to the hall (all quinceanera have some sort of dance that all the people in the quinceanera must do) but it was a fun day
Date: 5/11/2013 5:54:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 15228    Thanks Redeye, she wasn't in it. It was last night, she didn't go to the mass which I still kind of feel bad about. My daughter said it was really nice and she had a lot of fun.
Date: 5/12/2013 4:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 55582    That's good but usually for these kinds of parties and weddings some people only go to the hall
