What a cruddy spring

I read this has been the second coldest spring on record.  My tulips usually bloom by mid april, but they are just now beginning to blossom.  In my area we are also having the wettest April on record.  The week before last we received almost 6 inches of rain.  We have several retention ponds in our neighborhood and a few houses with basements flooded.  I doubt those people have flood insurance since this area isn't in any sort of flood plain.

We went to Florida for Spring break the first of April.  Luckily we had beautiful weather, I just sat on the beach soaking up the sun.  I was talking to some canadians on my first day who had been there the previous week and they said it was so cold that they couldn't sit on the beach or even next to the pool.  I felt sorry for them because they were getting ready to leave, their vacation was a total bust.  My mom talked to some people who said they came home early from Florida because the weather was so bad.

How has the weather been in your area?  I think this week we're suppose to finally hit the upper 70's three days in a row.  Today has started off gloomy as usual, but looks like the sun is trying to bust through.  Can't wait!
