There was a really interesting Reddit thread about creepy things your kids have said (can't link to it because of language), it kind of devolved into what seemed to be kids recounting reincarnation stories...they seemed to be most common among 2, 3 and four year olds. One kid said he remembered being in a room where he picked his mom because she had a nice face. Another said he remembered the car being on fire, his mom and brother were fine, but he wasn't, than he was 'borned' to his new mom and dad.
one interesting story was from an adult. She said she was about three and was always a really well behaved child. She was at the grocery store with her mother when she saw two men and became terrified of them and acting out so much that her mother had to leave the store. She refused to sit in the backseat, but instead huddled in terror on the floor of the car. She told her mother that one of those men had stollen her from her other mom, hidden her under the floorboards of his house where she slept a lot and was finally killed and she was born to her new mother. Quite the imagination for a three year old! She said she had always been fascinated with missing person cases as an adult and was always looking for the face of the man she remembers from the grocery store on sex offender sites.
I don't remember my girls ever saying anything that could be construed as a reincarnation story. I've always thought of my oldest daughter as "an old soul" though, always serious and seeming to know how to act in any situation. My youngest not so much! LOL. She was one wild youngster.
