Yes, I took a cruise from New Orleans with Carnival. Even through all of this I would still sail with them. The staff are out of this world. |

Yes, I would. Actually, I was thinking about going on one precisely because of all the trouble they've had; their rates are lower. I've never been on a cruise ship before, and I thought it might be fun to go. |

Natalie, I agree that they have a great staff and we never had any sort of problem. However, about six years ago my parents took a cruise from California to Hawaii. The ship was having electrical problems before they even boarded and it ended up breaking down once they reached Hawaii, the cruise was cut a week short. They definitely need to get a handle on these engineering problems. |

Arion, now is the time to try it for sure. I hated my first cruise. It was a five day on a smaller ship. I found going with a large group of people made it a lot more fun. |

I think worrying about a cruise going sidewards, is like being in a panic that the airplane your about to board is going to crash. There are lots of cruises out on the oceans everyday, and nothing happens bad or newsworthy on them. Once in a while there is going to be a bad apple in every bunch .. no matter how much they plan to keep problems from happening. |

After 32 years of marriage and raising 4 kids, my wife and I have never been on a cruise before, probably because we were just too big of a crowd and it would be expensive to go. We have talked about it, but never made the commitment. Now that the kids are gone, we just might make that leap. I don't know if we would try Carnival after all of the troubles though. I will look into it though. My wife really just wants to go to Hawaii...no cruise involved. Thanks |

My husband and I are booked for a Carnival Cruise in February. I have cruised with them twice before and had lovely experiences. Somethings incidents like this will happen but that could be with anything... car accidents, plane crashes, ect. I could happen to any cruise line as well. Can't live in fear of what could be. |
