Eye-Lash Viper.......Zema

Here is a picture of an Eye-Lash Viper...it has a pit between it's eye and nostril, which the snake uses to sense heat. This snake is at our Taronga Park Zoo in Sydney Australia, and it hasn't been on display due to having babies...I'm not a lover of snakes, in fact I'm quite paranoid about them, but I have to say that I like the look of this one..

Date: 3/10/2013 6:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 42945    A couple of our non venomous ones are protected species, they actually slither away if given the chance to do so...I'd run a mile!!
Date: 3/10/2013 10:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    The color of that snake is beautiful, but the look it is giving out says .. 'Caution' .. LOL. Zema, would the list of non-poisonous snakes in your country be the short list? It seems that a lot of spiders and snakes I hear about in Aussie Land are pretty deadly.

Snakes are fascinating but I am scared of them.. I think humans are afraid of animals that would hurt them..
