Hello USM! :)

So the past few months I've been broadening my horizons on music. Before I would listen to mainly country and pop and maybe a few random genre songs but never really got into anything else. Well since I started dating my boyfriend he's been introducing me to more music like Alice in Chains, Slipknot, Hank Williams III, Pusicifer, Nine inch Nails, etc etc.

What do you listen to? Are you a one genre only kind of person? Or like me, can listen to just about anything and love it?

If you know any good songs, you should share! I love discovering new kinds of music and artists! :)

Date: 2/6/2013 8:54:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    Wow, good post! When I was your age (long ago in a galaxy far, far away...) I was a major fan(still am) of THE WHO, The Kinks, Rolling Stones and Beatles . Since that invasion of the British I've also liked Nirvana, Adam and the Ants, some music by The Cure, Blondie ,The Cars, The Clash, but these days I'm mellowing a bit and listening to the stations that play some classical music to help keep my blood pressure in check, LOL! My favoritre song writer is Ray Davies of The Kinks and some of his songs include "Autumn Almanac, Do It Again, Word of Mouth, Sunny Afternoon, " Next fav is Pete Townshend of The Who... his songs include "Blue, Red & Grey, Love Reign o'er me, Slip Kid, .... well I also like others but I am ramblin'.....

Date: 2/7/2013 8:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 52489    I am much like you: I love all kinds of music! I grew up on pop music from the 70's and 80's (Stevie Wonder, Journey), do ballroom dancing to Strauss Waltzes, and love to relax in the evening with Swing music by Glenn Miller. When I'm reading in my library I love to listen to Classical symphonies like Beethoven, Salieri, and Bach.

I also love electronic music like Vangelis, Patrick O'Hearn, and Ray Lynch. Recently I discovered a great composer/band who uses the name Amethystium. This is one of my favorite pieces, the title is "Ethereal", http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Gly1XleRWE

I also really love the song, "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd
