Lad and Dad

Curious, a little boy asked
his father, "Daddy, why do
Muslims have to pray five
times daily, not as we do?"

The dad thought for a while
then gave his son a big smile
"Maybe they got it right, son.
I guess this is the real reason:

"Their Subuh is for breakfast
Zuhur is served during lunch
Asar is offered upon tea time
Maghrib dinner, Isyak supper."

"That makes plenty of sense,
for each meal to say thanks.
I like your explanation daddy.
I'll thank God for every candy."

The boy then asked eagerly,
"Can I be a Muslim, daddy?"
The father got really uneasy.
"Yes you can, but take it easy."

Thus, he became a Muslim later
his dad remained a disbeliever
for God guides whom He loves
even a lad can be His witness.

A lad ponders...
"God is one only. He is not many.
Why can't they see this clearly?"

His dad answers...
"Their eyes are truly covered with dirt.
They visualize only what they heard."

The lad replies...
"They must open their eyes wider.
Follow the religion with a wise leader."

His dad continues...
"You are right, son. A wise leader is one
who believes firmly God is One and Only."

The lad asks...
"What would happen if God is many, father?
Will They be fighting against one another?"

The dad explains...
"Only God knows. Look at all states.
Do they have two independent heads?"

The lad is convinced.
"If there were two heads, one will murder
the other in order to strengthen his power."
