First of all, your pretty new to this site so let me introduce myself. I'm Ginger and my husband and I own this website. I'm so glad you found it, and we welcome you and hope you continue to share with us so we can get to know you. This is an interesting topic. A friend of mine and I were talking about this the other day. The word 'humanitarian' seems to be getting a different definition in some peoples minds. They seem to confuse it with a person who gives money or things. According to Wiki, in its most general form, humanitarianism is an ethic of kindness, benevolence and sympathy extended universally and impartially to all human beings. No distinction is to be made of gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, or nationality. Humanitarianism can also be described as the acceptance of every human being for plainly just being another human, and accepting their viewpoints or mindset. Kelcleonn, if your finding that you do not have friends who are like this .. then simply put .. You Need New Friends!!! You deserve to be able to be a humanitarian to people and have them treat you with the respect to be one in return. |
