Have you looked at the other pics? It moves, so not sure if it is dust or not. Certainly not on the lens, else it would be in the same spot. Dust flying around? Why only pick up one particle? If it was a reflection, why does it move about? These are serious questions, as I really want to understand what it is... Thanks for the replies. |

Honestly I first saw it and first thing that came to my mind is a orb....but its odd that its green, usually they are white. It really does look like a second moon if you look closely, that is crazy. - Haven |

This is interesting. It looks so perfectly circular.. I thought of an orb too but don't orbs usually travel in groups? |

No orbs dont always travel in groups....got lots of pictures with a single orb....however I have never seen them green....I thought it could be a planet as well but It seems to be a little to close to be another planet. |

That's really awesome looking! Was it only on this picture or did you notice it on a few more? I am not sure what it could be, but it is quite a sight that is sure! It could be Venus, but it is very high in the sky to the moon. I am not sure what kind of camera you have but it's excellent to catch the moon and night sky like that, so it could be a planet, but then again, are there any pictures you took in the same place afterward that doesn't have it at all? Thanks for sharing |

Zelana, it's in lots of shots, and it moves around....not always in the same position...Venus was meant to be out and about that night...but funny how my camera picked it up..the naked eye didn't see it...if that is what it is..lol |

The more I look at it, it looks like you captured Jupiter when it was the closes to earth. NASA says Jupiter and Saturn both would be easy to see in January. THat's a beautiful pic |
