...our favourite Christmas characters

Hi everyone!

I may be getting a little long in the tooth and I know that some of you may have even
longer teeth but  it really doesn't matter much when Christmas time comes a-callin'

If you have a television anywhere near you, they're inescapable.
Christmas movies, Christmas cartoons and animated Christmas shows.

You remember them from your earliest days and watch them every year.
Some, such as It's a Wonderful Life are almost a ritual to the season.

Some you can't stand and some you love.
All of them have a certain character that stands out in our hearts.

Here are a few of my favourites:

A Christmas Story

I remember my first BB gun and the warnings I got along with it.
Poor Ralphie!

Did anyone else ever get a lovely gift from a relative?

Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer

I don't know why but I liked Yukon Cornelius.
I guess it was the adventurer in me.

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Who hasn't been raised watching poor ol' Charlie Brown?
He rarely ever gets any respect especially with that blowhole Lucy around.

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas

Last, but in no way least, a story of a misunderstood green guy.
His heart eventually grew three sizes but it was the little girl character
that seemed to emit the most innocence:
Cindy-Boo Who

Cheer up Cindy Boo! Things will get better.
(Think Roast Beast)

Anyway, those are a few of the characters I remember best and will see every year.

Do you have a most-loved fictional Christmas character?

Date: 12/24/2012 5:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    My associate and I were discussing "A Miracle on 34th Street," while we watched the movie. Seems that she had never seen it! Not even once? 1947? No way! Turns out she hadn't. "A Christmas Story" is my personal favorite. Season's Greetings, Hekler. Write on......

As for Christmas characters... Rudolph and the misfit toys, Charlie Brown Christmas, when Linus says all the tree needs is a little love, the original Grinch (cartoon) and I like The Nightmare Before Christmas!
I also like The Twilight Zone episode when the man just wants to be Santa, and he finally gets his wish.
