I wish I had posted this sooner when it was fresh. Back in the first week of Oct. went and did something I had thought of trying. There is a place near the Texas DFW airport called "The Flower Mound"/"The Mound",it is and ancient monument built by and considered sacred to the Whichitas who inhabited the area centuries ago. It is called the Flower Mound because of the profusion of flowers on it especially in spring bearing the city it's name. It is visited by the curious but also by those of pagan faith(traditional Native Americans,Wiccans,Druids, etc.)for meditating and "recharging" rituals. At that time my mom was almost a week in physical rehab to recover from a mild stroke she had back in Aug. She had already just mastered walking in her prosthises after loosing her leg a year 1/2 before. I had already wanted to visit the Mound before and try something I had been having "nudging" fellings to go pray on it. Being Catholic I had wanted to go and do a powerful invocating prayer the only way I know how,and go up and say a rosery on it. Well after visiting Mom I came home and waited till it was almost mid nite,I don't live real far so I got there just before 12. After I parked my car in the nearby grocery store parking lot, when it was 12 I walked up the mound so when I started it would already be Wed. and I would be saying the Glorious Mysteries of the rosery. With my rosery in my hand I walked up the moundon one of the very well worn paths, everything seem still around there in a peaceful sense not creepy. When I reached the top to the clearing on it there I observed the scenery below and the Dallas skyline in the distance, there was a beautiful bright full moon and stars,I picked a spot and knelt down facing East,I took out my rosery booklet and started my prayers and used the light from my celphone to read the prayers between the stations. While in process there was scarce sounds of a soft russel in the brush or a gentle breeze,I started to get cramps and fatigue on my legs a back and I then felt a soothing tingle on my thighs and calves, when I was almost finshed I saw a moth flap to the other side of the brush. As I finshed the closing prayers I felt a soft breeze come through as I asked any natural forces that prevail there who may be willing to aid me. I said a few closing wishes and turned to start my walk back down,as I was leaving I noticed that it wasn't so quiet anymore, all the nite critters were now "sing". I guess I should taken that as a positive omen. As I drove home I felt calmer and a sense of assurence and accomplishment. I brought my mom back home to days later.
