The apartment complex my daughter lives at is very nice. She and her husband live in a townhouse. Recently the complex has been putting on new roofs and redoing the sidewalks and streets.
my daughter says she can hardly walk the dog anymore because every time she leaves the house the workers catcall and make rude noises. As she walks past the van they often sit in, she says they stare so hard it makes her uncomfortable.
As she told me all this I was picturing burly construction type men...but no. They're young AMISH men! I laughed so hard when she told me who they were.
Anyway, her husband said something to the front office about it and the head of maintenance guy stopped her one day and apologized, he said the head contractor talked to the men and they haven't done it since.
I don't know why I got such a kick out of it being Amish guys.
