Actually, I can't stand folks who talk loudly and carefree(ly) on their cell phones. But, they do think that if they are on the phone, that is the most important thing in the world at that moment. They seem to forget where they are and that others can hear them. I tune them out and go around them when they completely stop doing whatever it is they are supposed to be doing...like driving or walking. |

Yesterday one of my coworkers clocked out at the end of her shift, called her mom and told her she had to stay late at work (her mom had her kids). Then she proceeds to tell us that her husband IS working late so she is going to meet some guy she met online. She called into work this morning saying she was still with the guy and wouldn't be at work. I told her she won't have a jobif she doesn't come in. She says that's fine, but can you pick my kids up when you get off work and keep them overnight? Really? She doesn't even know me. She has only worked here a week. |

I was on a date and overheard my date telling her "friend" she was gonna fake being sick so I would take her home early. Then she would have an empty house cause her parents were babysitting and he could come over. She was using me to get her parents to babysit. Her parents didnt approve of the guy. I have a post on USM called right or wrong on a date that tells about it. |

My favorites are the ones holding up a line at a store while the cashier is trying to keep the line moving.;.. one cashier kept raising her voice to try and get one customers attention while they were just blabbing away only to be ignored. Then the customer (after being checked out) says: "O.K., I'll be at your place in a minute". |

Apryl, she sounds like mother of the year! Or maybe employee of the year. Bet she won't make it to the end of the month. |

HeyLarry, That is so rude, especially when they're on the phone and placing an order at a fast food place at the same time. |

One time walking in the mall, I overheard someone say, "If it wasn't for my horse I never would have stayed in College for two years." Um, what? Haha I couldn't stay around to hear the rest of it, but sometimes that eats away at me and I want to know what the heck they were tlaking about! A horse?!?! |

I haven't really overheard anything juicy. Just see a lot of silly people, texting and staring at their phones! These days, no one can do anything without a cellphone. Not me! Mine stays in my car, for emergencies...thats it! |

I so know what you mean, Kelly. People are so open with their conversations these days. If they have the audacity to talk about personal stuff out in public, well then, I certainly have the audacity to ease drop. Write on....... |

I automatically tune people out in public. So I haven't overheard any juicy gossip lol. If I happen to get a call in public I will step outside to take it or go to my car. |

It annoys the CRUD out of me hearing that! I don't have a car so I ride the city bus, and I hear that kind of thing frequently. I'm always thinking "Why the heck can't they save that stuff until at least when no one's able to hear, if not waiting until home?!" I don't want to hear people's arguments and drama, or talking about how they just broke up with so and so and why they did, or their latest drinking and partying binges! Who cares?! That's my thought anyway. LOL |

I've seen that before I think, Larry! I know I've heard them talking on the phone, at least! And I think, "What makes you think that the person on the other end of the line wants to hear those sounds??!!" ROFL! |

And Lethalgamerchic, I'm sorry you have to have (or HAD to have, as the case may be) such an irresponsible, spoiled woman as a co-worker. She sounds like she was really something else... lol! |

When I worked at WalMart (cashier), a guy came in with a bluetooth, or whatever they call those things. It was invisible at first glance, and he walks up to my register, puts down his things, looks me in the eye, and says I love you. There passed an awkward moment, and the words excuse me? were on the tip of my tongue, then I spied the little device on his ear and bit back my words. I hate those little doo dads, is it not bad enough that everybody has the freaking phone glued to their ear? Lol! |
