Date: 9/28/2012 4:59:00 PM From Authorid: 36901 It's never happened to me. Do have a story about a friend who bought a used car. She'd paid on it about a year when the finance company sold the note to another company. They never told her and kept taking her payment each month as always. Her car got reposessed and that was when she learned that the note had been sold. After she proved that they had continued to take her payment, the new.finance company had to sue them to get the money. In court, the guy said it wasn't his responsibility to inform her about the note OR forward the payment. The judge made a huge production of letting him know he is nothing but a thief. It was discovered he was doing this to many people and pocketing the money. I think he owned the place. It was a "buy here, pay here" type lot. He'd finance, then sell the after a year or so. |

Date: 9/28/2012 6:45:00 PM From Authorid: 42945 Gee things are so different to ours over there Kelly...once the paperwork is signed, sealed and delivered so to speak, it's too bad if the dealership didn't charge enough...Once something is advertised as a certain price, just like in the stores for any item, and you go to pay for that said amount, by law they cannot charge you more...If the dealership short changed themselves, tough luck, it's not the consumers fault. They were willing to pay the amount advertised and signed for in good faith... |

Date: 9/28/2012 8:42:00 PM From Authorid: 42945 They need reporting if they do that Kelly, there's no way I'd pay out another 5,000 or whatever because the dealership thinks that they are short changed...their mistake..I suppose there are people out there who are gullible enough to believe them, which is sad.. |
Date: 9/29/2012 2:00:00 AM From Authorid: 37843 There is a dealership here that did that to so many people. They tried to do it to my younger brother so he returned the car and got his truck back then filed a complaint with the Better Buisness Bureau and found out they had 18 other complaints just that year. They have changed owners a couple of times since then but I won't even pull in to their parking lot to this day. |
Date: 9/29/2012 5:43:00 PM From Authorid: 26303 That is disgusting! Shonky dealers should serve some jail time...seriously...that is criminal. Especially if they have been complaints made about them before..no pleading ignorance there... |
