I agree that he needs to disappear.. I guess he talks trash to mutual friends outside the neighborhood who don't know the situation...the neighbors can't really defend themselves since they're under a gag order as well. Everyone in the neighborhood knows about him at least. Since he is shunned you'd think he would move, but I think if nothing else, molestors are control freaks and he would rather stay and torment everyone than be run out.  |

Because of the situation, the visitation can be pulled, in NC, if there is an investigation, or charges, the custodial parent can revoke visitation rights, and still get child support.  |

Something doesn't sit right here. The police got a confession from the little girl and the daughter and CPS never went to his house or followed up? Why not cite the ex wife for obstruction of justice? There was enough evidence to suspect this man. Somebody seriously is not doing thier job.  |

There was no physical evidence, Soul drifter, that is why they wanted two witnesses I guess. Anyway, I'm fairly sure the little girl wasn't lying. |

grrrr I get so mad cuz in my home town there was this 9 year old girl living in horrendous conditions and apparently sexually abused for years by her much older step brother. CPS had been to the house 3 times. The girl had been chained and locked in her room at night. Her teacher would buy her clean clothes. Then one day they found her hanging from a nail above her window in a makeshift noose. It wasn't suicide like it was meant to look like. The step brother killed her while having sex with her, thankfully he's spending his life in jail but it brought to light how ignorant the system is to let things slide. They don't anymore around here. By the way, the shack still stands and if you drive by with your window down you can smell the stench. There were 32 cats that lived there and some were dead in the freezer, why????? Sorry this got so long. Child abuse always reminds me of Sara, so very sad it makes me angry |

Did you know that the system is so messed up that a child will start reporting that she has been molested when she is three or four years old but isn't considered credible until age 12? By that point the kid has stopped trying to tell anyone because it has been going on so long she just accepts it as part of life. I learned that in a social work class. I think it needs to be investigated thoroughly the first time it is reported and the kid should be taken out of harms way. As far as this situation, I agree that the guy needs to be made to disappear... maybe with a new pair of cement shoes.  |
