I've been thinking exactly the same thing....at least that way you would know that all the people reading it have the opportunity to acknowledge... I know it's available on a well known social media website, but I think it's one that could be embraced... |
Date: 8/5/2012 2:11:00 AM From Authorid: 10075 It can be hard to put together a post and have so few comments. We post for the social aspect dont we? We post in the hope of having some feedback? I think it would be nice to have something that people can use to acknowledge a post without going to all the trouble of replying. Or people should quit being lazy and reply anyway!!! |

Date: 8/5/2012 2:34:00 PM From Authorid: 26598 There is a rating section of the reply box above where you put in replies. I dont know how you are informed of the rating. I have never used it. If I liked something I would say so, Thanks for sharing this story or such. I dont get much replies, but having been aleast read, is something to me. Keep writing and have faith. |
Date: 8/5/2012 3:49:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 40979 As far as I know, if someone rates you..you are not notified. I know we can see how many views our posts have gotten, but that does not exactly mean it was read that many times. People could click it and read one sentence and go on to something else. |
Date: 8/5/2012 9:25:00 PM From Authorid: 34663 I like that idea |
Date: 8/5/2012 11:19:00 PM From Authorid: 3835 Why not just make a smiley face? Or type out the word like, Lol.. That just sounds too facebook for my tastes.. |
Date: 8/5/2012 11:23:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 40979 Well, if people took the time to do that...I guess that would suffice. Facebook is not the only website that has a like button though. Most of the forums I belong to have a like button. |
Date: 8/6/2012 8:41:00 AM From Authorid: 51876 I like what Sur5r mentioned. |
Date: 8/6/2012 8:47:00 AM From Authorid: 3680 Everytime we post, USM should sound off with our WWE theme song of choice. |

Date: 8/6/2012 2:52:00 PM From Authorid: 11097 It does sound too facebook-ish, because than people might just start "Like" posts instead of actually commenting on them, but I do think we need something.... hmmmmm, keep the suggestions going! |
Date: 8/6/2012 5:13:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 40979 They might just click "like" and not read...that is true. But people can do the same thing with the rating as well. |

Date: 8/14/2012 9:47:00 PM From Authorid: 65872 Erin, I understand your desire to see who liked your post. I would give myself 50% positive feedback from the number of views. We need to avoid being like two-facebook. Sorry, for you fb users. Me, can live without. Besides there are way more intelligent folks on here. |
Date: 10/6/2015 6:05:00 AM From Authorid: 63161 Like a few others said, I would rather stay away from anything that would make this site like Facebook. I am sure there are other ways we can get our stories out there better. Lets keep the ideas rolling! |
Date: 10/6/2015 7:17:00 AM From Authorid: 64365 You know, I used to make some graphics for people's birthdays and special occasions, and I would spend a fair amount of time hunting for the graphic and taking the background out, adding this and that, and trying to make it special...on FB all I would ever get is a like...if that...except from a few rare people, so I sort of quit wasting my time. I don't like FB. It's just too easy to like and move on. I prefer the way things are done here. I don't need the likes...the views are enough. The extra perks are when people reply. I like that too. |
