Nani, The lemonade is donated from stolen resources. Hopefully the low price will discourage the resources from stealing it back. Right now business is slow, but when this post goes viral and protestors line the streets, then business will be good!! |

Hi, Dan. Do you know what Satan literally means? It means adversary. Satan is God's adversary. But, is Satan an actual entity? I do not believe so. I believe "Satan" is an attitude that, yes, has permeated the minds of many people of the world, in which the mindset that is adversarial to God controls people's manner of being. Your dilemma, whether you are 'following' God or Satan, probably comes upon many a believer in God at one point in their life or another. You are following God whenever you give up such ideas to Him! Of course God Created All, so that would mean that He Created this attitude of adversity to Him. He, in my estimation, Created Same when He Allowed us humans the concept of 'free will'. That humans are not required by God to Believe in Him in order to actually live in this world is my conceptualization of 'free will'. That humans are able to think of themselves as not needing "God" or, for some, to actually believe that they know better than "God", or that "God" just does not exist, IS what I would term "Satan at work, or "Satanic." Dan, do you think other animals are aware of what we delineate "true or false"? Can an animal who has not been given 'free will' LIE? God Gave us the ability to choose truth (Him) or falsehood (Satan). Living in the truth is difficult in this world, where fiction, facades, fakes, forgery, phoniness, etc., are all celebrated, rewarded, propagated, and encouraged! You know you've heard the axiom, THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE! Free yourself from the falsity of the world by surrounding yourself in the TRUTH! God Bless.  |

Hey I finally did an interesting post. Ms Priss you supply the lemonade, I'll supply the vodka! But seriously now, thankyou for the replies and i will try to address each of them. Lemonade aside, when i wrote this post I was turning over some serious questions that were bothering me in my mind. I've been having some bible studies with the Jehovah's witnesses since november last year, and while we have a good dialogue, me with my philosophical, 'think-for-yourself' outlook, and them and their 'bible is the word of God' point of view, i find myself terribly confused when they leave. Something they tell me is that Satan is in control of the world; hence this post. Last night i found i was placed back on the right path by some believers in yahoo christian chat 2. And today something gave me the energy to pop along to the witnesses' weekly meeting near where i live. Having not had the opportunity to discuss my previous questions with them I began to think about the question of truth... What it means; where to find it; whether it is absolute or relative? And fortunately enough these questions are relevant to the topic in hand. Now, when it comes to Satan, I am in agreement with Debs: Satan is an attitude. In this respect I think Satan is hate which comes from fear, and thus Satan is fear; an attitude. He comes into existence when we deny our hearts desire, that is, our true hearts desire. Here is the idea of truth. Again, I agree with Debs - the truth will set you free! Furthermore, you will recognise the truth because the truth will set you free! But then how do we recognise the truth? In my estimation (and this works and you'll see why...), we will know the truth because as one great philosopher said: Truth is Beauty. Think about this; whatever life we live, whether we believe in God and Satan and Christ or not, we each have a story; a personal story which is always REAL. If ever we find ourselves with the situation where we think "This situation is not beautiful!" we are in a position which is not the truth. We have to find what we ourselves believe is beautiful. It may be the case that our life sucks! But if we are honest with ourselves, would we really believe a life in which nothing went wrong whatsoever? This is where we judge the worth of our lives, and where we pine for Satan, who would decieve us with the illusion of a life totally lacking in moralilty. It may be the case that you do not believe in Jehovah but you believe you have found truth. What I'm saying is that it doesn't matter what your belief is, but that as long as you have found beauty, you have found truth. So while the Jehovah's witnesses believe they have found absolute truth, what they have really found is beauty, that is, something they find to be beautiful. This is a personal judgement. Beauty differs from person to person, but as long as you know you have found beauty, you have found truth. In essence, I mean, I personally believe in God. I had the uncanny night-realisation last night that God is conscious. Think about that! If God is conscious then he is looking at us right now. Besides that, I think bringing people to God is less important than actually having the compassion to help people find their own truth, their own beauty, and their own spirituality.
