So unfair! :(

My very close friend rang me tonight to tell me that she had brain cancer, and it wasn't looking too good.

She had surgery on Saturday to remove the tumour, and all was going really well.  I've been in daily contact with her hubby, and she has been getting stronger every day.

Her hubby has been by her side 24/7 since she was rushed to hospital on Thursday night.  He had to leave tonight for a short time and it was at that time the doctors and nurses decided to deliver her the bad news.  Grrrrr.....I hate thinking about the fact that she was by herself when she got the news.

She is in her 70's...chemo and radiation knocks young people about.....imagine what it's going to do to her?!

The news hadn't really sunk in for her when she rang...I know it hasn't sunk in for me yet either...It feels surreal....

I had to let it out....I can't talk about it anywhere else...others don't know yet.....

Date: 6/5/2012 7:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 17275    I am so sorry to hear this Aussie Girl. Cancer had rocked my family many times over, I will keep you, and your friend in my prayers!
Date: 6/6/2012 5:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 53427    Whats really sad, is I don't really know. My dad shows a strong front, but underneath I'm sure he's scared. But he'd never let me know. They actually found a second tumor when we went a few days ago for radiation, but this time they said it probably wouldn't need surgery, they just zapped it with radiation hoping that would kill it. Any time you want to talk or vent, feel free to message me, since we're kind of going through the same thing right now
Date: 6/6/2012 11:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 26303    I guess a father is protective of his children, and won't let on how much he feels.

Thanx, and the same offer is open to you Snookums..((hugs))
