I did my safety orientation class last week that is required for an interview, and the interview itself yesterday (23 May). The interview could have gone better (including me having been on time!). Due to that, I'm not sure where I'll be on the eligibility list they will compile, but, I shall be receiving a letter within a couple of weeks time telling me my ranking on the list. The further down you are on the list, the longer it will take for them to call you for a job (where you actually start paid work as an apprentice with a building/carpentry outfit). I fear I will be low on the list, but that will be good because it will give me time to get purchase all the tools needed and also get a car hopefully (as some of the jobs may be a long distance away, and you if you can't attend a job due to transpo they don't look too kindly on that).
