I came across this story in conversation in a pub near to where I stay when visiting Great Britian, so I don't have a source, just a tale told to me by several men and their dates one evening. Supposedllly, note the word, "supposedly", at East Cowes on the island, the phantom of a headless soldier from World War Two parachutes silently toward the ground, over and over again. Dozens of independent witnesses have reported seeing his parachute open and then watch as the trooper disappears just before he touches the ground. How it changed my life:I gotta see this before I die, I just gotta.
