This creek is haunted by the ghhost of a woman who was murdered there on November 21, 1912. the body of Ella Barham, about 8 months pregnant at the time of her death, was found in front of the mine, cut into seven pieces, along with having her stomach cut open and her unborn child removed and tossed some distance from it's mothers dead body.The murders did not initiaally leave the site of thheir horrible act and as it happen thhe last one to ggo, was the first arrested, who quickly gave up his felloow murdred, in hope of dodging the rope, which was to no avail. All men were found guilty, sentenced to hang, and sentence was carried out in less time than the local magistrate had planned. The murders live about another hour before all were swinging from the end of ropes.
