Kindle Fire vs Nook and iPad

First off I am only here to give a short review if you want the specs for the fire go on amazon and look them up. Main thing I love about the fire is the cheap price second the fact it has flash something both nook or ipad don't have. Battery life could be longer its about 6-8 hours depending on what your doing and only a little over 1G of the 8G of space is for apps so you only can only put on average about 80 apps but some are smaller and some are bigger you could easily fit 100 apps or as little as 10 depending on their size. The memory is my only real complaint as I wish the whole 8G of space would hold apps and also its not even 8G as with any device about 2 1/2G are already used up with software and built in apps and User manuals. Battery life is alright, about 8 hours. There are other little things people complain about that don't really matter such as email apps, I find the one on the device to work just fine and the home screen being a mess and no folders for your books but these things don't matter enough to give a bad review 5/5 stars the flash player and price are probably the biggest feature and what gets it such a high rating without flash it would just be a cheaper ipad with less appear and one less star rating

when compaired to nook its kindle hands down as the nook color and tablet have defective power cords that need replaced atleat once or twice a year and it is jumpy some times. I would never recommend a nook color or tablet to anyone their simple touch is just fine not sure what happened when making the colored ones nook color and tablet 2/5 stars other than the plug problem and page jumping its an alright device

Compaired to ipad the only real killer is the flash player if you want flash for online gaming, videos and chatrooms go with kindle also the size makes it a bit more portable but the fire is limited on what aneroid apps you can get unless you side load, easy to do but voids warranty so if you want lots of memory and lots of apps and have money go with ipad. Also the ipad is much better for typing as its easier to select edit points in a post or note than with a kindle and has an 8-10 hour battery life 5/5 stars despite no flash player it has more apps to choice from and more memory and a larger screen but also a larger price tag

Date: 4/30/2012 1:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34663    Your going to need that insurance because those cords are $30 each I read a review from some who to replace thiers several times in one year

Date: 4/30/2012 6:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 15228    I hate that the ipad doesn't have flash, that is so dumb! however, I still love the ipad. I got the first one and was perfectly happy with it, but my husband got me the II for christmas....I think only so he could have my ipad! As for the nook, I agree with you over the cord. I had to buy my daughter another one. As much as the cord alone cost I may as well have bought her a whole new nook.

Date: 4/30/2012 7:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 15228    Snookums, just plug your nook in and let it charge. Don't try to use it while it's charging, I think that is where the problem comes in, to much moving around while it is plugged in.
Date: 4/30/2012 9:37:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 34663    Kelly at Barnes and Nobel they said the plugs are defective. the company made a mistake while making them and have yet to fix it
Date: 6/26/2013 4:30:00 PM  From Authorid: 53427    Happened to run back across this post on random stories. Just an update, I've had no problems with my power cord. Knock on wood!!
