Thing is, I need somebody to take this idea, and run with it, and make it theirs. Because, I'd probably enter, so it wouldn't be fair for me to run it. Also, my main computer isn't working, so I'm stuck with my son's laptop, and I have serious issues typing on this thing lol! Anybody want to run the contest? Be my guest. |

The thing about this particular contest, if it happens, is that we have to be able to keep a sense of humor about it. If you are extremely prideful of your voice, and may be insulted, then maybe it isn't for you. I sing for FUN. I had my Madonna fantasies back in the 80's but that was many moons, and many packs of cigarettes ago! I had one voice lesson. Oddly, my voice teacher quit shortly after my first lesson... HMMM.. He kept saying, you sound just like Tammy Wynette, but you should be shooting for Linda Ronstadt. I told him, but Tammy Wynette was a millionaire, but he didn't seem to care. He said it was all about breathing from your stomach (Ronstadt) versus nose (Wynette). Oh well.. |

I did get an invitation to join the Heritage chorale, from that one lesson, which was apparently an honor, because most have to work a while to get it. But I didn't join because these people would travel all over the country, and sleep at strangers (volunteers), houses. I couldn't get over the thought, of overnighting with strangers, so I didn't do it. |
