The Nero Cross aka the Peace Symbol

It disturbs me that many use the peace symbol without knowing its history, so here you go.

Also known as: Peace Symbol, Druid's Foot, Druxtenfuss, Nero Cross, Neroic Cross, Raven's Foot, Sign of the "Broken Jew", Symbol of the "Anti-Christ", Teutonic Cross, Todersrune, Witch's Foot.

http://en.wikipedia.org/

"Conspiracy theorists believe that the symbol is one symbol among many that has a different meaning to the inscrutable elite than it has to the general public. Some believe it is an ancient symbol designating hatred toward Christians, from Emperor Nero, who crucified the Apostle Peter upside-down, hence it is a symbol of an inverted cross. The Nero's cross has also been recognized as a "mockery" of christianity, as it is thought to represent a broken, upside down cross, within a circle representing "Nero's vision". It is thought that Nero believed that the destruction of Christianity and all Christians would bring peace. It has even been rumored that the proliferation of the sign was on-part due to a Soviet conspiracy to encourage the sign which had a hidden anti-christian design (an objective part of the Soviet goals).

It has also been called a relative of the Nazi Swastika – or the rune algiz inverted, said to mean "hidden danger". It resembles the rune calc."

also look up the various symbols and crosses that are used today, eerie1 wolfie

...I think Nero may have been on to something.
A world without Christians. What a splendid thought.

Date: 2/8/2012 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 64365    I understand where you are coming from, Wolfie, but in the 60's it became a symbol for Peace. That's what it means to me. Peace.

"The internationally recognized symbol for peace was originally designed for the British nuclear disarmament movement by Gerald Holtom in 1958.[48] Holtom, an artist and designer, made it for a march from Trafalgar Square, London to the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston in England, organised by the Direct Action Committee to take place in April and supported by the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND).[48][49][50][51] Eric Austen (1922–1999) adapted Holtom's designs to ceramic lapel badges.[52][53]

The symbol is a combination of the semaphore signals for the letters "N" and "D," standing for "nuclear disarmament".[48] In semaphore the letter "N" is formed by a person holding two flags in an upside-down "V," and the letter "D" is formed by holding one flag pointed straight up and the other pointed straight down. Superimposing these two signs forms the shape of the centre of the peace symbol.[48][54][55] The original drawing by Gerald Holtom of the CND symbol is housed in the Peace Museum in Bradford, England."

How about something a bit more credible?

Date: 11/3/2012 1:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 66445    Christianity and all other religions are fine with me..it just the extreme branch of religions the ones who kill and control in the name of whatever god they pray to..thats my problem...radical people
Date: 7/26/2013 2:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62722    Look up the symbols here, http://www.nazarite.net/evil-symbols.html, a symbol is a symbol and it represents what it is intended to mean regardless of what we think it means.
