I suggest you do a project on the current news such as the The Higgs boson particle. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is very interesting and was completed in 2008. They are still trying to prove the existance of the Higgs particle. Or you could talk about El Gordo. A recently discovered Galaxy Cluster which is one of the largest ever discovered. Seven billion light years away and two million billion times heavier than our Sun lies El Gordo – which is Spanish for ‘the fat one’. Astronomers reporting at the 219th American Astronomical Society meeting said that at the moment, El Gordo is undergoing a process of growth and collision, and that it will grow even larger. Two really interesting subjects.. Also Russa plans on landing on the Moon within the next 8 years. -Rad |

There are some pics on the internet showing this. Its as if the moon (The side that always facews Earth has rotated clockwise) Like a pole shift of sorts. No reason for it, its just rotated. Some pics of this and a theory would be a cool project. Most people don't even know this, plus, there is no reason comming forth from NASA for it, so your theory would be as good and as valid as anyone elses at this point. My theory is that there is an outside gravitational force afecting it and the Earth. I believe the moon is recieving more of the affect because it is smaller, however the degree of tilt on the Earths axes has increased as well. Check it out my young friend. Its always great to see someone your age interested in space sciences, good luck in your project whatever you choose to do it on...Corolator |
Date: 2/6/2012 5:12:00 AM From Authorid: 15228 My daughter always had to do science projects every year. One year she got second place for her tornado in a bottle. I think it was her presentation that won it for her. One year she did centrifugal forces and another year she did edible bugs. We ordered bugs like chocolate covered crickets and worms off the Internet. That was more of a presentation than experiment, I don't know if you have that choice. |
