Hey all!
As you may know, L.A. Galaxy UNITED (64118) and I are engaged. So, we went to visit our first potential venue today! It’s a ranch that dates around early 20th Century. First, we were wary because of the “Caution Coyotes in the Area” sign, but no worries. So, we move on and tour the place and we see there are symbols, which we were put off by, but there was a pretty good explanation. These symbols are swastikas, but they’re ancient Native American symbols that have a negative association because of the Nazis, but this house was built prior to the 1920’s. There’s a sign explaining, so we shouldn’t have to worry it being misinterpreted by guests as you really have to look for the symbols on the house otherwise it’s not really noticeable, so we move on.
(Here's a pic of the sign. Sorry, I tried to tweak it, but it still uploaded sideways.I blocked out the name of the place due to privacy purposes. Afterall, others outside of USM have access to this site.)
It’s a lovely place and we can really envision holding our wedding ceremony and reception here. But, as we enter the Bridal Party portion of the house I can immediately sense the spiritual energy. My fiancé could definitely sense it, too, he felt paranoid looking over his shoulder because of all the history and emotional events that have taken place here that we figured it would have potential for paranormal activity. I didn’t get this feeling anywhere else on the premises; a feeling like a pull in my stomach, like I’m being lifted and it made me shudder. I tried to shake it off, but couldn’t, and it did cross my mind that I might have to put up with this sensation on my wedding day. Lol. But, maybe it’s psychological and just the excitement of the place, right?
Well, as we continue to tour the place, my fiance’s phone stops working and resets itself. Well, just as I ask him “I like this place, what do you think? Do you want to have the wedding here?” I receive a text message from him reading “No”. Needless to say, he checks his messages, there’s no way he could’ve sent that message-I was standing looking right at him, and there were no other messages that he would have that response to that could accidently be sent to me! So, we are wondering, is this a message from the beyond???
We are both believers of the supernatural and are both rather superstitious. This is our leading selection as we have done research on other places and none as affordable as this, but we are considering not having our wedding here because of this message!
It’s a great deal! No other place lets us provide our own catering, plus gives us back our deposit afterward, and we can host both the ceremony and reception for this price!!Also, our wedding is in 4 months!
So, USM, I’m glad I have this place to turn to and consult you all. What do you think, is it a sign???
Comments, concerns are all appreciated! Thank you in advance!
