P.B.D.S. this is the big one folks......Hack

yep, this is it... I need your thoughts on...

PeanutButter delivery systems...

bread, as in a sandwich... with butter or without?... do you HAVE to have jam or jelly?... what kind?

toast... with butter or without?... jam/jelly or honey?... what kind?

crackers... with butter or without?... honey? jam/jelly? what kind

right off the spoon... do you need a drizzle of honey or no?... Jam or jelly? what kind?

oddities...

to dunk or not to dunk...

sandwiches dunked in coffee, milk, or hot chocolate...

Pairings...

strangest things you pair with PeanutButter...what are they (or what others think you odd for) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I will go first...

bread... no butter... jams or jellies, rarely, but when I do it can be any fruit but strawberry.

toast... needs butter, rarely anything else...

crackers... butter first, then P.B. with nothing else.

spoon... this could also fall under oddities but I like a few drops of maple syrup.

I dunk in coffee first, hot chocolate second, the sandwich needs to be cut into strips.

I have been known to pair my P.B. with Mayo,- Nutella,- Bacon and lettuce,- and of course put it in the hollow of a stalk of cellery...

O.K. people, lets keep this clean and with NO fighting... this is my first debate and I don't want to have it deleted...

can you tell I have had too little sleep and too much time to think?

Hack.

Date: 12/12/2011 6:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    Not a huge fan of peanut butter, but when I have a pb&j it has to be with grape jelly on soft white wonder bread. No substitutes.

Oddity, or maybe not: I have to have a peanut butter sandwich, one slice folded in half, to go with my chili. I think it's leftover from my school lunch days.

Date: 12/12/2011 6:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 48250    This is probably not in order but I'll give it a whirl anyway! ...when having dinner; I enjoy a little butter on my dinner roll...then, toast of a morning...again a little butter with strawberry preserves preferably "Smuckers" lol .......then on a biscuit every now & again I enjoy it being lightly buttered with a lil honey every now & then .....I also enjoy dunking my PB Sandwhich in Chili & Veggie soups ...& when I have a PB sandwhich by itself I prefer it with PB & Strawberry preserves.....T/C
Date: 12/12/2011 6:38:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33286    I forgot Bananas Nani...never tried the Jalapenos, I may have to now, and yes, I have had it with cheddar too.

Date: 12/12/2011 6:42:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33286    this was actually meant to be a debate or discussion on what to have or how to deliver your PeanutButter
Date: 12/12/2011 6:48:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    Here's my list:

1. Bread no butter, unless it's Peanut Butter or Nutella. No jam.

2. Toast with butter, sometimes grape jelly.

3. Crackers are naked....

4. Spoonful of sugar makes the medicine go down....in a most delightful way..

5. No dunkin' in my coffee, but will at times with just a glass of milk.

6. I have no oddities to report as I won't air my dirty laundry here....

Date: 12/12/2011 7:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    I like free shipping on my deliveries....
Date: 12/12/2011 7:20:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33286    when I was a kid I made a P.B. and minature marshmallow sandwich on white... weird how tastes change as you grow huh?

time to ramble...

I heard that it is because you are born with all the taste buds on your tongue you will ever have, so as you grow your tastes in foods change, when young you are very atracted to the sweet side of the spectrum and when you are older you embrace the savory and bitter side.

Date: 12/12/2011 7:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 63201    Peanut butter...only on bread (whole wheat) and only with slices of banana. Toast- rare, but butter and honey spread. Dunk-nothing, don't like my food soggy. Crackers- only crushed up in my stew. I lead a simplistic and almost non-existent diet lifestyle.

Date: 12/13/2011 12:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 21435    Hey there, Timbo Hack! Peanut butter: "Right off the spoon is good for me. When I do get fancy, I cover the spoonfull with dark chocolate syrup." Dunking: "Only things I dunk are cheese in cane syrup and bread in gravy." I like a good practical post. Write on......
Date: 12/13/2011 5:08:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 33286    ohhh, Kronk... I forgot just chocolate, though Nutella comes close... you have me thinking now... a peanutbutter fondu... a banana dipped in heated peanutbutter and then melted chocolate. I wonder if you could then flash freeze that and sell them on the street.
