He always talked about the war...he would show his tank...he would talk about the day Patton saw his drawing of SAD SACk on his Tank. He would talk about his Pidgeon he trained and sadly have to give up. He would talk about the day a Sniper almost shot him in the gut...but he turned to get in his Tank...because of his OVAL shaped opening at that time...That movement saved him. He talked about being blessed from the Popes holy water sprinkling over the crowds...he attributes that blessing to saving his life in the war. He also talked about when his tank was spared only to come back for hurt commerades and shove them in his tank in the heat of gunfire and tankfire from the germans...he SAVED 5 men that day...he had a broken hand in the process! He talked about his beloved Tank alot. But most of all...he talked about his Beloved Wife...my mom ...TRINIDAD. Good night dear Dad!!! Take care of Momma!  |
