The sun arises in the east
and you wake up to greet the beast
that stares at you from in the mirror
another day and death gets nearer
thoughts roam back to a younger day
before school began and all was play
times have changed since baby pants
soul begs for a second chance
to smile again and not feel sad
and get back all the love you had
As the sun drops to the west
you ready for another test
your body weak and mind so mired
with thoughts of all that has transpired
seeking that you cannot reach
you can't convey through normal speech
dreams and desires left untold
the end is near, you've gotten old
