We are here to chip away our greed and become a being worthy to be part of heaven. Being worthy means being equal to all others and sharing what we are given. -Rad.. Good deep thinking there Coryann. |
Date: 10/11/2011 1:33:00 AM From Authorid: 65081 Wow Coryann, you are wise beyond your years. I have to say I feel the same way. In my searching from Wisconsin to the Middle East I have found basically the same thing. I'm a man of science, so religion was difficult for me. But what I did find out was that Jesus did actually exist, preach, and die. That from mostly Roman records. The Romans loved keeping records. The rest I can infer. Yes, I may have a hard time trusting everything the Bible says, but I know this much. Men such as Paul, who persecuted the Church for many years, suddenly became defenders of it. You can't change over night from killing Christians to serving them. So the story of Paul on the road to Damasscus, at least in my view, is one of truth. Paul did see the risen Lord. No other reason would account for his conversion. I know Christ taught from the old testament and that the Bible, as old as it is, has not significantly been changed (unless you talk to a Mormon) in a thousand years. That's pretty cool. I still believe with all of my heart that there is no one TRUE religion out there. They have all been changed by man and don't resemble anything of what they orginally were. So your best way to praise God is by being as Christ-like as possible, defending Him when you can, and do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. If there is one thing we have learned from Christ it is that the heavenly Father is all about love. A pure love that no human being could ever hope to comprehend. There is so much more to God than we will ever understand until we are with Him. Lots of words there... sorry. But I agree with most everything you have said. Good luck on your Journey and NEVER give up on God, because He never gives up on you. It is we who pull away, not God. Take care. ---Alienmojo |
Date: 10/11/2011 2:35:00 AM From Authorid: 42945 I love the honesty with which you speak of darlin, you have said what a lot of people think of but never game to admit to. I think it is perfectly natural to have some doubts, but we do reap what we sow and we are all responsible for our own actions in life. It is very easy to blame God when things happen to us that was our own doing but when we sit down and really think about it, the man above is there to help us anytime we ask for it, we just have to ask. I'm so proud of you and the way you have grabbed life with both hands to get where you are today...*huge hugs* |
Date: 10/11/2011 11:26:00 AM From Authorid: 62813 Coryann, i completely appreciate where you are coming from sweetheart, and i understand. As for me, i have had every reason in the world to doubt him, and his love for me. Like you described above, let that small seed of doubt and resentment... balloon into the huge negativity in my life. But i was stronger than that, and my love for HIM was so great, that i was able to take all of the negativity's in my life, and the very hurtful thing's happening to me, and turn them over to HIM. And he took the wheel, and made me who i am today. And for that i am so very blessed, and very thankful to HIM. I just do not know how i would have survived, had it not been for his unconditional, and never ending love. I am not that strong of a person, but my Saviour carried me. Great post sweetheart, ty so much for sharing with us all here. Much Love, Tammy |

Coryann, I am glad to 'see' you are doing so well and have set yourself up as a good example for others (it may take time for some of those others to realized that, though ). And I am also glad that you've moved past your victim hood and are standing up as a beautiful, individually-created human being with your own individual ability to think and believe according to your own individual life experiences. Yes, Praise God! George, by your own description, we are all worthy! We are all equal due to the fact that we are all human beings. The gift that has been given is to know that humans are capable of achieving supreme goodness (worthiness) by merely Trusting In Our All-Knowing God. God Bless. |
Date: 10/11/2011 4:10:00 PM From Authorid: 64985 Coryanne, you are a delight of wonder. You do more than most, you question, and then seek answers, which provide you with more questions. Most people never pick up a book after leaving school. Most don't contemplate GOD unless they are at their witts end, or in dire trouble or something like that. The one thing I've leanned over and over is that GOD is pure LOVE, and so is JESUS. A love that knows no bounds, and has no limits. Another thing for sure is that he never gives up on us. We as mortals often give up on him or blame him as you said. Thank fully he is always there when we return to our sences and seek his foregivness and his path for us. I believe he always wanted us to be wise in the word, (All of the word) so I've read all the Bibles from most all religions. It took a long time. But the thing I finially came up with after all this reading was that there are important areas in all religions and all their texts. But only one way into THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and that is through THE SON OF GOD, JESUS! So GODS SPEED to you Coryanne...Corolator |
