We do have psychics here at USM that I do believe are truly gifted in the Psychic Arts. This had to be proven to me, since I don't typically believe in things I can't see, touch or prove out in some way that fits in my brain. I'm not sure why it happens that one person thousands of miles away from another person could phone them up, and tell them not to get stuck with the needle under the table next to their foot. Was the needle there, yes it was. No reason for it to be there either. Now that is psychic, and you wanted info on predictions Jewel. I don't have much information on that .... except, and this is a HUGE except. Where my husband and daughter are involved, I seem to feel things. I don't have specific predictions, but more feelings of things to be drawn to or avoided. I'm not saying that I have any talent in this area, but I think because I am so extremely close to these two people I seem to be allowed to 'feel' some things. Not sure what I believe about professional predicting people.  |

They do exist, but go to a psychic that has a reputation for high levels of accuracy or word of mouth. Now speaking of Sylvia Browne, I have watched her many times on TV and I think that she someone that either is a good con artist or someone who has lost what they have been given by her greed for money. If you watch a few of her shows on Montel, you will see that many of the audience members look disappointed after having a question answered. I think the reason that God or the Universe allows us to see the future is only if it is for our highest good. If its to save someones life, help us to avoid an accident, help us to know what might be going on with a person so we can be compassionate to their situation and know how to help them. The advice from the higher realms should always be positive and helpful.. If its not, something is wrong.  |

I have a good friend, his mom has a great gift, she won't call herself psychic, but she calls it reading. She does so by touching you. Which is why I won't allow her to touch me. When I was 16 she grabbed my hand, and her words to me were "Don't be in a rush to get married, it's not all that you're thinking that it is cracked up to be." And really honestly, it was all that I was thinking about, not that I talked about it at all. She grabbed my mom's hand and told her not to be afraid of grey hair, that is why there is Clairol, and my mom at that point in time was actually afraid of going grey. The man that my mom was seeing at the time, decided that he wanted to be part of this "parlor trick" and let her grab his hand, she got this real hateful look on her face, and just looked at him with malice, and told him that he could lie to my mom, but she saw his soul, and he couldn't lie to her, and that he should come clean with his lie. He had a bad reputation around town, and gave my mom a fake name, so she wouldn't know who he was. I saw her about two years ago. Her son did a clam bake and oyster roast for me, for my birthday. She gave me a big hug. She told me not to worry, that I was gonna have another kid not too far in the dear future, but not to be disappointed, cause I was gonna have another boy, at the time, I was wanting my next kid to be a girl. She told me that my bf at the time would not be the father, but she couldn't tell me who it was, cause she didn't know him, she described him vaguely, but I didn't believe her. She then told me, that if I had a third child, that one would be a girl, but she didn't see me having three children. I was upset, she knew I was mad at her, for telling me that my next kid would be a boy, and that my current bf at the time wouldn't be my child's dad. Well, so far she is 2 for 3. I'm pregnant now, not by the guy I was dating then, but actually my HS sweetheart, she said that I already knew him, and that he was somebody I thought a lot of, so now all there is left is to find out the sex of our baby, if it is a boy (which I really hope he is) she will be 3 for 3.  |

I believe in people having abilities but I am very weary of believing people who claim to predict the future, especially psychics who make a lot of money using these predictions, such as Sylvia Browne and Harold Camping (who was proven wrong numerous times). I think people can have advanced/sensitive intuitions that allow them to open themselves up to receive messages or communication but I do not think anyone can predict our entire future. I am fond of a man called, Edgar Cayce, who they claim is the sleeping prophet. He was a very interesting man, check his writings out. Cool post   |

Well, to update from my last reply, she is three for three currently, she got the sex right too. Now we shall see if I ever get pregnant after this one. |

I do believe there are true psychics, just hard to find one due to the fact so many that claim to be psychic, are scam artists.  |
