My grandmother was 88 years old . Her heart , her kidneys and her lungs were all failing her . After the family priest said it was time to let my grandmother go I told my grandfather to sign the DNR papers . The doctor also said it was a mistake that we had revived her . He said my grandmother was suffering tremendously ! I had been instructing my grandmother on her impending death . I reminded her that she had many angels and many guides looking over her . I also let her know that her family would be receiving her on the other side . The nurses were all looking at me strange as I went over this scenario with my grandma over and over again . I prayed over her and wished her a safe voyage .
The doctors finally took the ventilator off of her . This was keeping my grandma alive and extending her misery . My grandmother was in the intensive care unit . When the ventilator came off she started screaming . This freaked the nurses out as her screams could be heard throughout the 3rd floor . I was stunned . I prayed to God to remove all her pain . I did not know what was going on . People from the other rooms came nearby my grandmothers room to see what was going on . My grandmother was very frail . Where did she get the energy to do all that screaming ? She was letting out an AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH , AAAAAAAAHHHHHH , AAAAAAHHHHHHH over and over again with all her might . The nurses were asking her if she was in pain . Me and my family kept on asking grandma if she was in pain . She would shake her head and nod no . My grandma was not in pain . Something else was going on . Despite my grandma telling us she was not in pain the nurses administered powerful painkillers .
My grandmas AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH , AAAAAAHHHHHHH , AAAAHHHHHHH later became AAAAAHHHHH- MAAAHHHH , AAAAHHHH-MAAAHHHHH , AAAAAA-MAAAAHHHH . I now knew what was going on . In bed she started reaching out with her arms to the right . She finally saw her mother who died when she was only 5 years old . My grandma had the hugest smile on her face as she saw her mother on the other side waiting for her ! My grandma was excited and she had all this new found strength as I saw her start kicking her legs in bed . She was trying to run to her mom and dad . Later she started reaching out to the left and started screaming AAAAHHHH-PAAAHHH , AAAHHH-PAAAHHH , AAAAHHH-PAAAHHH . Sadly her dad had died when she was only 4 years old . Now my grandma was soooooo happy . I was so glad that I was there to witness the whole thing . Everyone in the family was crushed and heartbroken , but after seeing all this I was now elated and happy for my beloved grandma . I was amazed by the whole thing and so were the nurses . Finally at 6:31 pm she left my world and went over to the other side ......................... to be with her parents . How it changed my life:I am more spiritual .
