The agent decided to check in on Carl since he's the one the spirit didn't manage to get to very easily. Carl was at work behind the wheel of a steamroller smoothing out a parking log. The Agent waved at him when they made eye contact and the man stopped the roller and had someone else take his place.

"Agent Sims," the man seemed surprised to see him again, "What can I do for you?"

"I had some more follow up questions, is there a place we can talk?" Mr. Duncan lead the agent into a trailer on the construction site.

"This can't take long, I still have work to do and I don't think my boss would like me taking a break."

"I spoke to him, everything is fine. I was wondering if you had any thing else similar happen to since this event?"

The man thought and replied, "nope nothing that I can think of."

"If you don't mind my asking, what else do you fear?"

"I'm not really one to take to fear, but like they say everyone fears something. I guess tight spaces is the only thing I can really think of, why do you ask?"

The agent pulled out a card with his cell number on it, "Just general asking," he said handing him the card, "If anything else happens odd like this call me before anyone else."

The man pocketed the card and headed back out to the site. It was a big construction site, they were constructing a new shopping center. As the agent headed out he saw something that at first he thought wasn't real. As Carl got back into his steamroller a fuel line under the machine burst. The explosion killed Carl instantly.

The foreman confused as to where the gas leak came from called the gas company to shut it off but they denied any gas lines under the ground there. Then just as quickly as the flames appeared they disappeared. The agent looked around and saw a shadowy figure next to the burnt hulk of a steamroller. The figure waved to agent and vanished.

The agent decided to head to the home of the little girl but first called over there as officer Sims pretending to be checking up on her. The mother said the girl was fine and there were no more sightings of the monster under her bed. The agent couldn't understand what game the demon was playing now but he to stop him.

As the agent neared the neighborhood everything around him became black. He stopped his car and got out to look around. "Nice to finally meet you Agent," a voice said, "You can just call me Phobia."

"Where I am?" the agent asked.

"Your in my world now, a world of darkness and fear, oh and I'm sorry about Carl, I wish I could have crushed him to death but that stupid little wide open spaces excersise of his seems to work against me. Lucky for me the guy also had a slight fear of fire, nothing serious but enough for me to bring it to life, and also having you there to watch made it much more enjoyable for me."

"So why make a show for me?"

"I know that you think you are fearless, you think you can stop me, but everyone has fears, some may not recognize what they fear like poor Carl but it's there."

"What do you fear?"

The demon got up in his face, "I fear nothing, all my fear was taken away from me when I was murdered."

"Is killing every living relative really going to help you settle the score?"

The demon backed off again, "Not until every last one of the blood line of each man is dead will I be satisfied."

"And you plan on killing me as well I presume?"

"Oh yes, but that's just because you are in my way and I must deal with you."

The agent walked toward the black robbed demon looked him in the eyes and said, "I know exactly what you are afraid of."

The demon quickly turned away, "impossible for I fear nothing."

The agent chuckled, "Like you said we all fear something and your fear is finding someone you can't scare."

"And you think that you are without fear!" roared the demon, "You think I can't find anything to scare you with."

"Try me."

Everything went from black back to the real world, "Enough of this charade, I have a child to kill," the demon said he disappeared into the child's home. The sun was just beginning to go down and the girl was already in bed.

The agent dressed in the police uniform burst through the front door right past Bessie's parents who ran up after them, "Officer Sims, what's the matter," the mother yelled following the agent up the stairs.

The bedroom door wouldn't budge open and inside the girl screamed. The agent then shot off the hinges of the door and kicked it down and there on top of the child was a huge dog like monster. Bessie was paralyzed in fear.

The agent fired at the demon but the bullets went through and he got off the child and that's when the parents rushed in and grabbed her and got out of the room and the door erected itself slamming shut.

"Come on, you think you can really stop me!" the shouted

The agent stepped forward, "You ran away from me for some reason, could it be your fear me?"

The demon back further and further back until it was against the wall and went back into it's demon form all the while the girl's father pounding on the door, "Officer what's going on do we need to call for help?"

"Everything is fine in here just tend to your daughter," the agent replied, "now for you phobia, you think you can stop me then do it." The demon just stood there not doing anything almost as if it were afraid, "come on do something!"

"Fine you win," the demon sulked, "never before have I ran into a man without fear before but just because I can't kill you don't mean I can't kill others." The demon tried to phase through the door but couldn't, instead he ran into it as if he were mortal.

"What's the matter, loosing your powers," the agent chuckled, "guess I was right, you are afraid of me,"

The demon started to panic, "That's not possible, I fear nothing, I am fear, I can't possibly be stopped." The demon crouched in a corner nearly crying and repeating over and over "I am fear, I don't fear, I am fear, I don't fear."

Not long after a clean up team arrived and the demon was still cowering in the corner. He was placed in a spirit containment unit that is used to imprison spirits and the parent's and the child's memory had been wiped so that this night had never happened.

The demon was flown to a top secret prison and the agent headed back to his place for some much needed rest, not that he will be getting any for as soon as his head hit the pillow the phone rang, "Agent V, we have another case for you."
