I might not be right. here is my thought on it. We as a nation have a technological lead in military aviation. There were posters during WWII that read"Lose lips sink ships." Then around that time, some scientists working on the atom bomb, were really working for the soviet union. They escaped to Russia. That began the Cold War. In order to keep our lead Militarially secret the Goverment has to have extreme lethal security for this nations secrets. Thus not another cold war.  |

Well, if you could make a form of propulsion that could harness the power of say, a supernova, there's no telling what could be done. There's still a ton of things that are still yet to be discovered or even thought of that must still be out there. Also, think about it this way, we're pretty much bound by the elements that are here on this planet. Supposing there was a planet that had superior or even living elements in abundance? It may not be that the "aliens" are advanced, they just might have better stuff to work with.
I've often thought that we were put far out of the way for a reason, supposing we're on a galactic "time-out" because we, as humans, don't know how to act right and play well with others. |
