Date: 8/23/2011 3:00:00 PM From Authorid: 64817 That is a sweet story in its own way. My husband proposed to me on Christmas morning in 2006. We were staying at my dad's and getting ready to go to the big family gathering. Before we leave we get to check our stockings, but since I was the one who filled them, I didn't pay much attention until my husband to be started asking me if I was going to check my stocking. So, suspicious, I do and find this large white box. Inside was a ring pop with the note, "Hey goof ball, will you marry me?" I look at him, amused and bemused, and he nods back at the box. I flip it over and it says, "Keep looking." Deep inside the stocking is another box. In it was written, "No really, will you marry me?" I opened it and found the real ring, an elegant, etched platinum band with a pretty little diamond along with a engraved pendant of him telling me that he will love me forever. I pretty much jumped in his arms then and was laughing and crying at the same time. |
Date: 8/24/2011 2:41:00 AM From Authorid: 27705 well my husband asked me after he left me for a weekend to visit family. He came home and i was so mad that he didn't take me with him and left me here to work that i told him i was giving him the silent treatment until forever. Then he got down on one knee and proposed in our bedroom. Not very romantic but apparently he left me for the weekend to go get the ring (it use to be his grandmothers) |
Date: 8/24/2011 5:47:00 AM From Authorid: 5252 My hubby proposed to me christmas of 05, we were at my parents house he got me a standing jewlery box, the bottom drawer had a bracelet, the next drawer had a necklace and the top opens up and he put the ring and a note that asked "will you marry me"? I was mad lol, I told him if he proposed to ask me, just me and him, but no he did it in front of my parents, brothers, sisters, aunt, cousins and second cousins. UGHHHHHHHHH!! Date: 8/24/2011 1:24:00 PM From Authorid: 34663 I saw one on TV once the woman was dating a police officer, and while she was driving down the road she was pulled over. The officer took her out of the car did everything an officer would do when pulling someone over and she thought she did something wrong and was in trouble, just then another cop car pulled up and out come her boyfriend who got down on one knee and asked her to marry him right there along side the road |

LOL..Momabug...love it! Yes, Hyper, my girlfriend's hubby did that to her too, only the ring was hidden in a brick. Her hubby just happens to be my hubby's uncle, and it was here at my house that he proposed. She was like you, really mad at him. But I loved it :-) LOL Love all the replies...thanx for taking the time. |

stiiiiiiiill waitiiiiiiing.... lol! We've been together since we were 19 (we're 28 now), but we did go through 6 months of rough stuff back around the 6.5 year mark - 3 months we were broken up. Then he came to his senses and realized what an idiot he was, so we got back together. lol! He knows I'm waiting, and I think he knows this has been a ridiculously long time to date, so I really am expecting to get engaged and married within a year (hopefully). Cute how you two were thinking the same thing on the same day - just shows how in sync you two were!!! |

Not married, but these are some wonderful proposal stories *sigh* |
Date: 8/26/2011 6:21:00 AM From Authorid: 53054 It was when we had just been together for a little after 6 months (we had lived together for that time as well) and went on a holiday to Europe (where he brought the ring), on the way back just before we landed back at home he asked me to marry him - he told me it was because I loved travelling so much and wanted me to keep doing what I loved. He thought it was perfect - and it really was. 4 years on we are still engaged - and I still havent been travelling again |
Date: 8/26/2011 4:01:00 PM From Authorid: 16671 The first year that eddie and I were dating it was off and on again for different reasons, but after being off for a few days, on one saturday night I was in the bar drinking and dancing and my heart was broken from the break off when he walked into the bar, took my hand without saying a work and pulled me out of the bar and across the street. He picked me up and sat me on the hood of some car, he then said, " I'm going to be a preacher and YOUR going to be my wife." LOL, and it all turned out that way. |
