Date: 8/4/2011 3:12:00 PM From Authorid: 45684 Hmm. I do believe that some people have a heightened awareness of the things around them. She sounds like a very special young lady and I hope she does decide to join usm. |
Date: 8/4/2011 7:30:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64863 Thanks for the responses and thanks Technicolor, yes she is a special young lady, hope she decides to join. A couple practical teachers had suggested she has an overactive imagination and one teacher suggested that the EEG provided the clue to what could have been happening, she said maybe at night in the complete dark, she was experiencing tiny seizures that produced visions of light or something and with her imagination she thought they looked like people or faces or something. |
Date: 8/4/2011 10:50:00 PM From Authorid: 21435 I don't think that your daughter's ghost story is silly. Young children need an active imagination. Geez, should have seen me. I had imaginary friends, held conversations with them, and acted out whole scenarios for hours on end. Only my imaginary friends and I. As far as being sensitive and beyond her years, I find nothing wrong with that, either. Children can be cruel to each other. I certainly suffered hugely at the hands of my "friends" when I was your daughter's age. I kept my thoughts to my self and was quite the shy guy, myself. The kind people on this website helped me so much. I hope your little girl decides to join us. Only good can come of it, I think. Enjoyed your telling, lady. Write on...... |
Date: 8/4/2011 11:25:00 PM ( From Author ) From Authorid: 64863 Thanks Kronk, I hope she joins too, people are so nice here and fun. I remember when she was little she had tea parties with her stuffed animals and she'd talk to them, it was so cute, and now that I think of it she had an imaginary friend that was a superhero girl named Patty Power, probably made her feel safer at night. Our 8 year old son had an imaginary friend for a while that he called 'invisible', now he walks around with this tiny walking Tricertops that I got him at Toys-R-Us for $3, he named it Pip. |

I was brought up in a religious home and 'we' didn't believe in ghosts. These fundamental ideas stayed with me until my husband, daughter and myself moved into a new home. It was built by a family and only they had lived there. We never learned anything much about then, but somehow when they moved ... they didn't take their ghosts. We had a 'presence' in the master bedroom closet. I saw a ghost, and things disappeared at times. We have moved to a new home now, and I sometimes miss our ghostly visits. I believe your daughter had wonderful insight, and I hope she was able to use it in her life somehow. |
