Okay, so my career path has changed. I'm on my way to becoming a manager for the chain of restaurant I work for!
Human Resources (HR) contacted me today (finally after submitting my resume 2 weeks ago) and I'm interviewing over the phone Tuesday. Please pray for me and wish me luck!! THANK YOU! I want this job. I've gotten the hang of being manager assistant plus I really need this promotion.
I get this job and my fiance and I can really begin our lives together. We'll be good to go financially and it's stable (which can't be said about most jobs in this economy, especially compared to the teaching position I so wanted).
HR said something to me though that gave me HOPE. They asked me where I live and if I want to stay in this area. I replied, "Yes, if it's possible." HR then said: "Anything is possible. Even when someone says something's not for sale, they're lying, right? Anything is for sale."
And now that I mulled it over, when you think about it, yes, all you have to do is give someone an offer they can't refuse. ;-) Just food for thought. Feel free to share your thoughts on that.
Now, if given the option, do I stay at the same store I've been at these last 6 years or do I try out another store and move on since I don't know anyone there? Either way, this is a move in the right direction. So exciting! I'm nervous!
Thank you so much, USM. For your prayers and being here for me!
I'll keep you all posted!
